Popular Songs from Colonial America 

There is a second era of popular song that fascinates me.  I love singing the songs popular with the people who forged this great nation out of thirteen British colonies.  Many of the songs came across the Atlantic from the old world with the settlers while others were revised or written in the new world.  I find by the nature of some of these songs that our colonial ancestors were a bit more lusty and fun-loving than we usually imagine. Included in my repertoire are songs that came out of the American Revolution.  Lots of good sing-alongs here!
